Fairfax County Parks and Rec. Everybody
needs their local pools and exercise homes. We
are lucky in Fairfax County! Masters Teams use
these pools as well as USA Swim Teams like Curl-Burke.
Lots of swim meets happen in these facilities as well.

US Masters Swimming Home to the 18 and over swimmers for competition, fitness and great comraderie. I never even knew this
kind of thing existed until eight years ago andnow I can't imagine life without it!

MUSIC
The Washington Conservatory of Music This is my teaching home. The school has a great faculty. It is located at the border
of DC and Maryland near American University at the
Westmoreland Congregational United Church of Christ
and also at Glen Echo Park.
Apprentice Music Check out their recordings of
student level cello music. It's a great tool to
inspire the younger players to do their beginning
pieces well.
Potters Violins A great store in Bethesda, MD.
Do you have a beginning string student? This
is the place for you. Get them a good instrument from the start!
Lots of supplies and music, plus instruments up through the
"affordable" level. I know, what's that?! A friendly staff is there to
help. Pay them a visit. Calling for an appointment can be a good
idea if looking for an instrument.

Feline Veterinary Clinic Dr. Rosen has helped
us save Sammy, our one kidney kitty (had
psuedomonas!!) Thank you Dr. R.! And he
keeps elder kitty Petra happy as well!
SouthPaws Veterinary Specialists This is
where Sammy had his operation. They are top flight. We called
to check on him, day and night, and they were there to talk with
us. Two years later and he's still here! What a trial.
