ABOUT US
The "us" behind the triathlon art and cat art prints of SwimMuse is Deb Milan Brudvig and her support crew of husband Alan, cats Sammy and Petra and all of their friends and family. In addition to being an artist Deb is a professional cellist, Masters swimmer and coach. Art and music have always been part of her life. Swimming is a relatively new passion. And the cats speak for themselves - frequently and happily.
Deb has taken art classes at the University of Michigan, Montgomery County Community College and through the Art League of Alexandria, VA. She received a certificate in computer graphics from the Corcoran School of Art. All of the art you see here was created using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop with her much loved Wacom pen and tablet.
Deb Milan Brudvig was born in Lancaster and then transplanted to Harrisburg, PA. She has Bachelor's and Master's degrees in cello performance from Boston University and the University of Maryland. Deb began her undergraduate work at the University of Michigan. She is a cello teacher at the Washington Conservatory of Music and freelances in the Washington, DC area. She has performed at venues including the Kennedy Center, Wolf Trap, the National Cathedral, Arena Stage, Signature Theater and Blues Alley. Her favorite recordings (where she is a featured performer) include those by cabaret singers Beverly Cosham and Sally Martin.
